Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit 6.70 adds passcode unlocking and device imaging functionality for legacy iPhone devices. The software-based unlock brute-forces 4-digit and 6-digit screen lock PINs, while device imaging returns bit-precise image of the data partition.

Elcomsoft Forensic Disk Decryptor 2.17 instantly unlocks Windows 10 (20H2) BitLocker volumes

We updated Elcomsoft Forensic Disk Decryptor 2.17, adding support for BitLocker-encrypted disks in the latest version of Windows 10 (20H2). The new release enables the ability to capture a memory image, identify and use the BitLocker encryption key to to decrypt files and folders stored in encrypted disks or to mount encrypted volumes as new drive letters for instant, real-time access.

Elcomsoft breaks BestCrypt containers, supports NVIDIA Ampere cards

We updated Elcomsoft Forensic Disk Decryptor, Advanced Office Password Recovery and Elcomsoft Distributed Password Recovery with support for additional formats and GPU accelerators. The updated tools break Jetico BestCrypt 9 containers, accelerate ZIP and RAR recovery on AMD and Intel GPUs, and add support for NVIDIA’s latest RTX 3000-series boards based on the Ampere architecture.

Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit 6.60 extends the coverage for jailbreak-free extraction from iOS 9.0 all the way through iOS 13.7, adding support to the last versions of iOS 13 ever released. The new release expands the availability of the extraction agent, adding full file system and keychain decryption support for previously unsupported versions of iOS 13.5.1 to 13.7 on all compatible iPhone and iPad devices.

13 Years of GPU Acceleration with AMD and NVIDIA

It was exactly 13 years ago when we invented GPU acceleration. The encryption was getting stronger year over year, and the rate of trying the password combinations was (and still is) of great importance. It is the attack rate that determines how long and how complex the password can be discovered after a reasonable wait ranging from a few hours to several weeks.
